Terms of Service

Effective date: August 7, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Synthific. By using Synthific, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Synthific helps you infer data schemas from natural-language prompts and generate synthetic datasets. Generated data is artificial and should be reviewed before use in development, testing, analysis, or other workflows.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account provided through Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to use the service.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Synthific to break the law, violate another person's rights, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or generate content intended to facilitate fraud, abuse, or harm. You may not use the prompt engine to generate illegal content, hate speech, malicious synthetic data intended to impersonate real individuals, or content used for harassment, deception, or identity abuse. Do not submit confidential, regulated, or production personal data unless you have the authority and appropriate safeguards to do so.

No re-identification: You must not reverse-engineer, de-anonymize, re-identify, or attempt to link synthetic data or generated records to real individuals, households, organizations, or events. You must not use Synthific output to infer or disclose a real person's identity or sensitive information.

4. AI output disclaimer

Generated mock datasets are synthetic outputs produced with AI models and local generation utilities for testing, development, research, and demonstration purposes only. Output may be inaccurate, biased, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. It is provided “as is” and “as available” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or merchantability. You must review and validate output before using it.

You agree not to rely on generated fake data for real-world decisions, including decisions about people, credit, employment, housing, health, insurance, safety, or legal rights. Synthific is not liable for losses resulting from reliance on generated output.

5. Intellectual property

You retain rights to prompts and datasets you provide or generate, subject to the rights of third-party services used to operate Synthific. Synthific and its branding, software, and underlying technology remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Third-party services

Synthific relies on third-party providers including Clerk for authentication, Google Gemini for schema inference, Resend for newsletter subscriptions, CookieYes for consent management, and Vercel Analytics for product analytics. Their terms and policies may also apply.

7. Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the service will meet every requirement. Synthific relies on third-party infrastructure, including Google's Gemini API. If Google's servers or APIs are unavailable, degraded, delayed, or discontinued, Synthific features may be unavailable or impaired. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synthific is not financially liable for website downtime or losses caused by Google's or another third party's outage or service interruption. You use generated output and the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synthific and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or loss-of-profit damages arising from your use of the service or generated output. For free users, our total aggregate liability is capped at zero. For paid users, our total aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid to Synthific during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, security reasons, or operational necessity.
